So let's continue with our last two round-up posts, shall we?
Lately, I've noticed some interests in some of the Asian polishes released recently. Ok... maybe it is just me but some of them are really worth noting! :$
Tony Moly
I first saw swatches of the Galaxy collection over at Steffels and it was instant love. I bought them and fell in love again (yes, even on my short nubs and dry fingers). I recently swatched them on my swatch sticks and I fell in love all over again. They are excellent. Then I came across the milky glitters and... gosh, I need them! Yes, they did a dupe of Deborah Lippmann's Glitter in the Air but apart from that, they have been incredibly creative, haven't they?
It has been a while since I've seen anything exciting from them but I'm ready whenever they are!
Innisfree
Another Korean brand that has caught my heart in 2012. They have a huge range of polishes and they have recently upped the game by releasing some really gorgeous glitters too. Like Tony Moly, they are also not afraid to play with new color combinations and that's what I really like about these brands. Just take a look at some of the glitters that I've bought from their Star Sign collection!
Beautiful, eh? I really need to get back to swatching soon. So many pretties in my untrieds!
So, yupppp, these are two of my favorite Asian brands so far! What do you think of them? Have you tried any Asian polishes yourself?
xoxo,
mich
P.S. Don't forget to enter our year-end giveaway to win amazing polishes from both mainstream and indie brands! Ends 12 Jan 2013.
These look very interesting and are probably, sadly, unavailable in my country. We do get some cheap Chinese stuff that has vile, toxic smell so I don't buy it, but I was lucky to get one Nfu.Oh polish and I'm on the lookout for more :D
ReplyDeleteI am from the US and will be visiting Singapore soon. I was hoping to buy some polishes over there in stores that I cant easily get here. Do you have any other recommendations?
ReplyDeleteI agree!! There are some polishes that are really horrid and only a few are actually usable. :P
ReplyDeleteHave you tried hunting for these polishes on eBay? I vaguely recall someone mentioning it before but I can't remember the details...
I've heard a lot about Nfu.Oh polishes but I've yet to try it for myself! I really need to do something about that soon ;)
Hi Hannah! So glad to know that you are coming over soon! :D
ReplyDeleteThere are probably more polishes available in the US so I'm afraid you might be a little disappointed if you are planning to do some major polish shopping here! That said, you can find some polishes in stores like Tony Moly, The Face Shop, etc. They have stores in various shopping malls and should be quite easy to find. You can also find essence nail polishes here in certain Watsons outlets (eg. Ngee Ann City). Yup... these are some of the brands that I can recall off the top of my head.
I hope you will enjoy your stay here in Singapore! :D
I can't order from eBay. No paypal :(
ReplyDeleteDo try Nfu.Oh. I only have one holo, but I'm planing to buy some of their flakies. Bear in mind that their holos need to be applied over aqua base, otherwise they look patchy and streaky.
Etude House, Face Shop, Skin Food, Missha...
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the polish got way better after I left Korea!
they sure stepped up their game recently! :D
