*phew* This week has been insane and it is still not friday yet! I have about three assignments to be done in three weeks' time. Serves me right for procrastinating. urgh. Seeing as it's going to be a mad rush from now, I apologize if I am no longer as active in catching up with other blogs and commenting or posting on twitter and facebook!
Anyway, I sincerely hope you are not getting sick of Tony Moly-s by now. I was just browsing through the site where I ordered the galaxies when I spied some new pretties.
Ordinarily, I would have restrained myself as I'm technically on a no-buy. But one of them looked like a dupe for one of my lemmings, Deborah Lippmann's Glitter in the Air! Since I couldn't lay my hands on Revlon's Whimsical either, I simply *had* to grab these glitters! How could I pass them up!?
Aren't they pretty? |
2 coats of Milky Way over 1 coat of China Glaze Seaspray |
Anyhow, dupe or not, this is a very soft and pretty polish by itself! Love it!
This is the most color accurate picture *shakes fists at the uncooperative sun*:
Application was great - the formula is smooth and the brush is easy to control. My only slight complaint is that the glitter is a little sparse. Of course, I'm not expecting it to be jam-packed with glitter since it is supposed to be soft and dreamy. But I had to shake the bottle and move the brush around for a bit to get more glitter for the nails above. Still, it's worth the effort *sighs happily*
Do you own GITA or Whimsical? What do you think of this color?
Stay tuned for more swatches from this haul! :)
edit: For more information on where to purchase these glitters, please check out our post here.

Oooohhhh!!! How fun!! This does look like a GITA/Whimsical dupe, how nice that we have another choice since te other 2 are so hard to find!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see swatches of the other 2, that pinky colored one is calling my name!!
I am pretty sure that's a good dupe from your photos =) When I use glitters that are sparse or hard to get ahold of, I turn them upside down and let them sit there while I do my prep and base coat. Helps get more glitter on the brush most of the time! Also, I'm eyeballing that orange polish! It looks wonderful and feisty! Can't want for swatches! And good luck with your assignments! I definitely can relate to procrastinating...oops >>
ReplyDeleteOh my! Where did you find those pretties?
ReplyDeleteit looks pretty close to me! what site do you get your tonymolys from? i got one off of ebay but id like an actual website if there is one!

ReplyDeletegorgeous!! what site did you find these on?!
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous. I absolutely need peach and pink ones:) What site did you order tony Moly from?
ReplyDeleteIt certainly looks like a dupe! I have to hunt this down! Which site do you buy Tony Moly polishes from? Is it cheaper than the official stores in SG?
ReplyDeleteThis is super duper nice on you! Was contemplating about whether to order this previously and your post just totally convinced me into getting this next time! ;P Jiayou for all your papers (though I'm drowning too)!
ReplyDeleteIt definetly looks like Whimsical! I'm very curious to see the other two polishes as well :)

ReplyDeleteHahahaha! Thank you Yvonne! So glad I could satisfy my lemming for GITA! ;pHmmm.. I should try your tip one day. Sounds like a good idea to get those glitters from the bottom of the bottle! And I thought the orangey pink was the most unique one of the trio too! :D
ReplyDeleteThey're beautiful. I'm in love with this kind of color, definitively I need the pink and peach ones too!
ReplyDeleteI found them on GMarket Singapore! But the seller only ships to Singapore, South Korea, Indonesia, Japan and Malaysia... Not sure whether they are available elsewhere though =\
ReplyDeleteHmm I got mine off a GMarket (Singapore) seller but they don't ship to the west (only to Singapore, South Korea, Indonesia, Japan and Malaysia)... I am not too sure whether they sell through their main website - I found it a little confusing to navigate =\
ReplyDeleteYay! Glad I could quash one of my DL lemmings! :D
ReplyDeleteI got my Tony Moly fix from GMarket Singapore! Unfortunately, they don't ship to the west (only to Singapore, South Korea, Indonesia, Japan and Malaysia)... Not sure whether they are available else where though.. :(
ReplyDeleteOh yes they are! ^_^
ReplyDeleteI got them from GMarket Singapore but they don't quite ship to the west (only to Singapore, South Korea, Indonesia, Japan and Malaysia)... I'm not too sure where else to find them though... :(
I got mine from a seller at GMarket(Sg)! I haven't checked the prices at the official store but I think it's much cheaper on GMarket even with shipping!
ReplyDeleteThank you Cheryl!! :D I'm glad I both all three of them! They are very pretty!
ReplyDeleteurgh. I really don't feel like starting on my papers :(
I'm so glad I am able to find this to quash my DL lemming!
ReplyDeleteThe other two are pretty unique too! Will be posting the swatches up by this week :D
I'm pretty sure they won't disappoint you! Will post swatches up by this week ;)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful...definitely looks like a dupe. I don't own any Tony Moly polishes, but I am super excited to see the other swatches from this haul....I just may have to place an order....
ReplyDeleteSwatches will be up by this week! You won't be disappointed with them!! ;D
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous!!! I own Whimsical and from your pics, this is definitely a dupe. Score!! I love it. The glitter was sparse in Whimsical too, but I didn't even care because it's just so pretty!!! How many coats did you use?
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your other swatches.
Ok, these are pretty awesome and the brand is completely new to me. Where would be the best place to order them from online?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I have Whimsical and this looks like a dupe for sure! Super excited to see the other swatches
ReplyDeletetwo other polishes look even more interesting) i can't wait to see the swatches!)
ReplyDelete*yay* So glad I stumbled upon it :D
ReplyDeleteI did 2 coats of Milky Way over 1 coat of Seaspray because it was too sheer by itself. :)
I found mine online at Gmarket Singapore but the seller only ships to Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan and South Korea. I am not entirely sure if they are available elsewhere. Perhaps you can try looking for them at ebay? I heard that you can find their galaxy collection there so maybe you will be able to find these glitters there too :)
ReplyDeleteoh goodie! So glad I snapped this up then! Was a little worried when I ordered because I couldn't find swatches of these online. Swatches for the other two will be up by this week ;p
ReplyDeleteYup they are pretty unique! Will be posting swatches up by this week so do look out for them! :D
ReplyDeleteive been looking as well and
ReplyDeletehttp://www.thecutestmakeup.com/ is prbli the best price u can get them from. its a korean brand.
Ahh... I shall check that site out one day!
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, I've also posted an update on where else to get Tony Moly polishes here: http://bit.ly/zDLsl3
Hope that helps too! :)
yeh im from australia and korean gmarket shipping is too expensive cos they do a boxed service thing. ebay is currently selling them for $9 shipped while you could get cutestmakeup order for $4 + 1.5 shipping = $5.50 shipped.
ReplyDeleteAh I see.. Thanks for letting me know! xx
ReplyDeleteThese are so pretty! :) By the way, are they really sheer that you have to put on a base color first?
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid I didn't try it for myself to see if they build up to opacity nicely. :( They still looked pretty sheer at two coats so I decided to just layer them.
