12 Days of Christmas: Day 3 - Half-moons!

Having done french yesterday, it seems appropriate to do what has been called the reverse french manicure or half moons!

This is my first time attempting this style so I was a little doubtful whether I can carry it off. But I must say, it looks prettier than what I've expected :D

I free-handed the moons because I couldn't find those hole reinforcements. I was so sure I had a bunch of them stashed somewhere! Ah wells. Since I was too lazy to wrestle with the sticky tape (it always end up in a mess whenever I try to do something fancy with it), I settled for slightly wobbly lines instead.

I also fished out small hex glitters from Luci Darling's Spangled Silver Diamond to use in place of rhinestones. They are not as pretty but they are still shiny especially when they catch the light!

Here's a picture of the nails without the glitter:

I must say... half-moons do have a certain charm - bold, yet elegant and classy. It looks perfect for a christmas ball!

Polishes used:
Clatty - #296 (Gold)
O2 Skin - MK0220 (Red)
Glitter pieces from Luci Darling - Spangled Silver Diamond

What do you think? Do you like wearing half-moons?

xoxo,
mich
